Cam Talbot allowed four goals on 33 shots during Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Talbot and the Oilers fell to a 4-1 deficit just 1:02 into the second period but used a four-goal third period to force overtime before Darnell Nurse got the winner. Tonight's comeback victory marks Talbot's second win of the season, both coming in Edmonton's last two games. His record improves to 2-2-0 with a 3.02 goals-against-average and a .895 save percentage.
Oct 16 - 11:30 PM

Connor Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 35 shots during Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

The Jets entered the third period with a 4-1 lead but Ty Rattie's goal just 18 seconds into the period sent things into chaos for Winnipeg. Connor McDavid tied the game up a 130 seconds later before the game was tied another 11 minutes after that. Darnell Nurse then got the OT winner to complete the collapse for the Jets. Hellebuyck will see his record fall to 2-2-1 with a 2.99 goals-against-average and a .906 save percentage. The Jets will look to bounce back on Thursday night when they host the Vancouver Canucks.
Oct 16 - 11:27 PM

Adam Lowry scored a couple of goals during Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Lowry showed off some great hands to tuck the puck just inside the post for his first of the night to open the scoring. He then followed that up with another goal, three minutes later after he picked up his own rebound. The 25-year-old center has been rewarded for some strong play to start the year and now sits at three goals in six games this season. Mark Scheifele and Ben Chiarot also scored in the loss.
Oct 16 - 11:24 PM

Connor McDavid picked up two goals and another two assists during Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets.

McDavid took a feed from Leon Draisaitl and seemingly skated by every Jets skater before burying a partial break in behind Connor Hellebuyck for his first of the night. McDavid then followed that up with the primary assist on Ty Rattie's goal 18 seconds into the third period before another goal of his own a couple of minutes later. Edmonton's captain then capped off his night with the secondary assist on Jesse Puljujarvi's first of the season. McDavid's four points on Edmonton's first four goals of the game have now made him the first player in NHL history to record a point on his team's first nine goals of a season. The 21-year-old phenom is up to four goals and nine points in four games this season.
Oct 16 - 11:20 PM

Darcy Kuemper allowed two goals on 28 shots during Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

The Wild came skated into Arizona's zone on a three-on-one chance but Kuemper somehow robbed Eric Staal of a sure goal. In fact, Kuemper had a strong game but the early season storyline of little offensive support continues tonight for the Coyotes. The 28-year-old goaltender will suffer a loss in his first start of the season. He owns a 2.05 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage.
Oct 16 - 11:14 PM

Devan Dubnyk stopped 31 of 32 shots during Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

It was a near perfect night from Dubnyk who was only beat by a perfectly placed shot by Brendan Perlini over his shoulder on a tough angle. The win improves the 32-year-old goaltenders record to 2-1-2 with a 2.32 goals-against-average and a .940 save percentage. A win on Friday in Dallas would give Dubnyk his first winning streak of the season.
Oct 16 - 11:11 PM

Brendan Perlini scored a goal during Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

With seemingly no angle, Perlini took the puck just over the red line and sniped one over Devan Dubnyk for his first of the season. Perlini is a former 12th overall pick back from the 2014 NHL Entry Draft but he has failed to do much offensively so far this season. Tonight's goal was his only point through five games so far this season. The assists went to Jordan Oesterle and Vinnie Hinostroza.
Oct 16 - 11:09 PM

Eric Staal scored a goal during Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

Staal found himself in the right place at the right time to bang home the loose puck 6:18 into the final period for the game-winner. The 33-year-old center is now up to two goals and four points through the opening six games of the year, with all four coming in the last four games. Mikael Granlund also scored in the win.
