Look for Cam Talbot to get the start in goal for Edmonton Sunday.

Mikko Koskinen picked up the start on Saturday and with the Oilers on the back-end of back-to-back games, it only seems logical that Talbot would get the start. He is 9-13-2 this season with a 3.17 GAA and a .896 save percentage, not exactly stats that will win you hockey pools.

One game after he was a healthy scratch, Anthony Duclair had a strong game Saturday.

Duclair was a healthy scratch on Friday but coach John Tortorella put him back in the lineup Saturday and was rewarded with the outstanding effort. "That Duclair looks like a million bucks," Tortorella said. "Every shift he looks like a threat. Gets to the goal … shot wide, stickhandled into the corner. It’s just so aggravating. Not just him, it’s just really frustrating to me." Duclair was moved up to the top line in the third period, replacing Cam Atkinson on the Artemi Panarin and Pierre-Luc Dubois line with his excellent play as Atkinson dropped to the third unit alongside Nick Foligno and Alexander Wennberg. Duclair has 10 goals and 15 points in 41 games this season.

Oliver Kylington's second goal of the season was the game-winner Saturday.

The talented blueliner was selected in the second round of the 2015 Draft (60th overall) and was a polarizing player as many scouts saw him as a first round pick while many others saw him as a third rounder. He has two goals and four points in 25 games this season as he tries to establish himself as a solid NHL blueliner. While we cannot recommend him at this time, he has some offensive upside.

Johnny Gaudreau scored once and added an assist to extend his points streak to 11 games.

Gaudreau is having a career season with 29 goals and 73 points in 50 games and he has been especially hot of late with 10 goals and 23 points in the 11-game streak. The talented winger's career high is 84 and he should smash that mark in the first or second week in February unless he has a long slump. He is second in points in the NHL and is in the race for the Hart Trophy.

Mikael Backlund scored once and added an assist Saturday.

The center picked up his 300th career point in the contest as he has 11 goals and 27 points this season with a tremendous plus-25 in 46 games after going minus-21 last season. He has 119 career goals and 181 assists in his 10-plus year career with Calgary.

Ondrej Kase's right arm was in a sling Saturday.

The forward was injured in Thursday's win over Minnesota and was placed on the injured reserve list with an upper-body injury. The injury is obviously to his arm. Kase has 11 goals and 30 points in 30 games and has been one of the few bright spots offensively for Anaheim.

Daniel Sprong scored and added an assist Saturday in the Ducks 3-2 win.

Sprong has been strong for the Ducks since he was acquired from Pittsburgh on December 3 with seven goals and 11 points in 20 games for the goal-starved team. "I always believed I could produce," Sprong said. "Everywhere I’ve played, from juniors to the American League, I always produced. ... It’s exciting when the coaching staff and players believe in you and trust you a lot. I was happy to chip in (Saturday)."
