Kevon Looney played just 18 minutes off the bench, but still came through with 10 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal and two blocks in Monday's win over the Thunder.

Nice. Looney turned out to be a DFS star tonight (33 points), but with just 18 minutes of action, he's not a must-own fantasy player. However, he still played 11 more minutes than Jordan Bell, and Andre Iguodala left this game with a calf injury. If Iggy is going to miss time, Looney could become a hot pickup. Watch for news on this situation as it develops.
Oct 17 - 1:50 AM

Jordan Bell came off the bench for just seven minutes in Tuesday's opener, finishing with zero points, two rebounds and one block, as Damian Jones started at center, and DeMarcus Cousins recovers from a ruptured Achilles.

We love Bell. But Steve Kerr may not feel the same way. Jones is bigger, and Kerr might think he's better, so Bell's minutes may be limited in the first half of the season. We're only one game in, but owners of Bell should get him on the bench and hope that Kerr has a change of heart sooner than later. Cut him if you want, but we're willing to give him a 10-game leash, in case Kerr changes his mind.
Oct 17 - 1:45 AM

Klay Thompson hit just 5-of-20 shots and 1-of-8 3-pointers for 14 points, four rebounds and nothing else in Tuesday's opener.

He looked a little rusty, although pre-game video of him dropping 13 straight 3-pointers from the corner told a different story. There are several players in the NBA that we're worried about this season, but Thompson isn't one of them. He'll bounce back on Friday against the Jazz.
Oct 17 - 1:41 AM

Damian Jones started at center on opening night and hit 6-of-7 shots for 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and three blocks.

Jones looks like the starter at center until DeMarcus Cousins is ready to roll, leaving owners of Jordan Bell in a bit of a pinch. Jones is still not a must-add player, especially since Bell could emerge at any time, but if you're in need of a big man who probably wasn't drafted in your league, Jones makes sense as a pick up.
Oct 17 - 1:38 AM

Kevin Durant hit 9-of-21 shots, missed all five of his 3-pointers, and hit 9-of-10 free throws on his way to 27 points, eight rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block in 38 minutes of Tuesday's season-opening win over the Thunder.

Durant was Durant and owners have to be pleased, although he'll hit his 3-pointers going forward. He's still arguably the best player in the NBA, and he might be over seven-feet tall.
Oct 17 - 1:35 AM

Draymond Green hit just 1-of-6 field goals for two points, 13 rebounds, five assists, three steals and six turnovers in 33 minutes in Tuesday's opening win against the Thunder.

Green's scoring will be a buzzkill all year, but he does enough of everything else to be a fantasy maniac. Both teams looked a bit rusty tonight, but Green's shot will be better than this on most nights. If you drafted him, rest assured that the shooting percentage will rise, and this may be his season high for turnovers this year.
Oct 17 - 1:32 AM

Stephen Curry hit 11-of-20 shots, 5-of-9 3-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws to lead the Warriors to an opening-night 108-100 win over the Thunder.

He also had eight rebounds, nine assists, a steal and just three turnovers on his way to one of the lines of the night. He was helped by the fact Russell Westbrook (knee) was in street clothes, but this game was probably closer than it should have been, given that RW was out. The Warriors are 1-0, this season is officially underway, and Curry lived up to the hype tonight.
Oct 17 - 1:29 AM

Warriors forward Andre Iguodala left in the first half of Golden State's season-opening game against the Thunder on Tuesday night with tightness in his left calf.

Iguodala is questionable to return, but he still hasn't been in the game with the fourth quarter well underway. That tells us he's unlikely to return. He doesn't have a lot of fantasy value, even if healthy, but his calf injury is something to monitor. He totaled two points, two rebounds and two assists in 10 minutes before exiting. An absence could mean more minutes for Kevon Looney and Shaun Livingston.
