Uncommitted five-star 2019 DE Kayvon Thibodeaux will announce his commitment on December 15.

The top prospect is expected to decide between Alabama, Florida State, USC, Oregon and Florida. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end took in a visit to Oregon for their overtime victory over Washington, and told Greg Biggins of CBS Sports that he could "see himself going there." Florida State and USC are still considered the favorites, however, but Thibodeaux clearly enjoyed his time at Oregon.

Arizona State received a verbal commitment from four-star 2019 CB Jordan Clark.

Clark was also considering schools like Cal, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Boston College. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound corner ranks 38th on 247 Sports list for 2019 at the position, and the Baton Rouge resident ranks 42nd among prospects in the strong class of Louisiana. Clark is the second four-star pledge in the 2019 class in 247 Sports' eyes, and the class ranks 50th overall.

UNLV senior RB Lexington Thomas (head) has been cleared to play on Friday against Air Force.

Thomas left Saturday's game against Utah State with the head injury in the third quarter, but he has been cleared of any concussion concerns, and he'll be ready to go. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound tailback has enjoyed a strong start to his 2018 campaign with a 5.7 yards-per-carry average and 552 yards.

Pitt sophomore TE Tyler Sear will transfer.

Sear left the team on October 10 for "personal reasons," and now he'll be looking for another school to play football. Rumors came out that Sear (6'4/250) wasn't happy with the way he was being used, so he'll likely look for a school that's willing to throw his way after catching just two passes. He played in six games, so he won't be eligible for a redshirt season, and he'll have to sit out a season if he transfers to an FCS program.

According to The Athletic's Nicole Auerbach, a group of parents is "fearful" that suspended Maryland HC D.J. Durkin will return.

Durkin was suspended after the death of former Maryland offensive lineman Jordan McNair as the team looks into reports of a toxic infrastructure around the football team. The parents -- speaking on condition of anonymity -- told Auerbach that they weren't informed of abusive claims until after McNair's death on June 13, for fear of the parents not believing them. One parent told The Athletic reporter that they believed this was "predetermined," and another claiming they were terrified. This is an awful situation, and it doesn't sound like we're close to the end of these revelations.

Former Penn State LB Manny Bowen will transfer as a graduate in December.

Bowen announced the decision on social media, saying he's "open to all options." The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker has had a roller coaster time with the school; being dismissed last November before being reinstated this summer, only to be removed from the team a few weeks later. Because he'll leave with his degree, the former starting linebacker will be eligible to play immediately for whatever school he ends up at.

South Carolina redshirt sophomore DB Korey Banks announced his intent to transfer.

Banks was moved from WR to cornerback in 2017, and he's played sparingly since. He's already used a redshirt season, so he won't be eligible for another one unless the NCAA approves him for a sixth year of school. A former three-star recruit, Banks (5'11/191) will also have to sit out a year if he transfers to an FCS school without receiving a waiver.

Texas A&M HC Jimbo Fisher told reporters that there is a "very good chance" that sophomore WR Jhamon Ausbon will return this season.

Ausborn had surgery on his right foot at the beginning of the month, and is out indefinitely. That's the bad news, but the good news is that it sounds like the talented sophomore is going to be back at some point this year, assuming there are no setbacks. While he's out, Jace Sternberger should remain the top option in the passing game, with Kendrick Rogers and Qartney Davis the top targets at the wideout position.
